I was sleeved on October 24, 2016 my heavy weight was 260 pounds my surgery weight was 230 I am currently at 189 pounds. My goal weight is 180. Just nine more pounds to go! I’ve had a wonderful turn around in my health and wellbeing. At the age of 70, I am once again able to move laterally without pain in my joints as I play tennis. Some of my meds have been reduced in the size of dosage and certain meds have been eliminated. A big thank you to Dr. Ortiz and the entire staff at OCC for giving me the opportunity to feel a little younger again.
This surgery has and will be a life changer for me. Once again I can play Tennis by running to get a ball, something my knees would not allow in the recent past. It feels good to go after a ball, reach it and return it, when 6 months ago I would and could not get to the ball! It’s never too late to make the decision to proceed with Dr. Ortiz. I was 16 days short of my 70th birthday when I had this gastric sleeve procedure done. I am most grateful to Dr. Ortiz and staff.
